GENERAL

Has a Decision Been Made About 2020 Commencement?

The decision has been to move Commencement to a virtual celebration in June AND explore an alternate date - likely in December - to host an in-person ceremony.

What is The Purpose of the Virtual Celebration?

A virtual celebration is meant to recognize and honor the 2020 UC Davis graduates of our undergraduate, graduate and professional schools. We invite them all to return to Davis this fall to recognize them at an in-person ceremony later this year.

I'm Registered for June 2020 Commencement. Do I Still Need to Register for the Virtual Celebration?

Yes. Links will be sent to eligible seniors (based on units completed) and will be posted at the commencement homepage. By registering, you are giving your permission for UC Davis to include your name, major, degree, and/or photo on a public, online platform.

I Registered For June 2020 Commencement. Do I Need to Register Again For the Postponed Ceremony?

Yes. Graduates will be required to register and request tickets to participate in the postponed ceremony. Registration information will be available August 1, 2020. All original ticket requests and petitions for the spring 2020 Commencements will be voided and not transferred to the postponed ceremony.

Can I Attend Both the Virtual Celebration and a Postponed Ceremony?

Yes. All UC Davis students are invited to participate in one in-person commencement ceremony. Since we are unable to host a live ceremony in June,  we have chosen to add a virtual celebration to recognize your achievements this June. However, you are welcome to register and participate in the postponed live ceremony as well.

Reminder about current Spring 2020 Commencement Eligibility Criteria: Any undergraduate student who received a degree in September 2019 or December 2019, or who expects to receive a degree in March 2020, June 2020 or September 2020, has completed 160 units by the beginning of Spring Quarter 2020 AND who has not already participated in a commencement ceremony, is eligible and welcome to participate in a ceremony.

Will I Be Able to Walk with My Friends at a Postponed Ceremony?

The postponed ceremonies will not be divided by major, college or school. We will open registration up to any eligible students to attend the ceremony that fits their professional and personal needs.

What Is the Deadline to Register For the Virtual Celebration?

久草免费新视频14 This will be determined at a later date after we gather survey data and decide on what platforms we are using.

Where and When Will the Rescheduled Ceremonies Take Place?
